This student organization was founded by reason of the increasing number of foreign exchange students, international events and number of VSTE students studying abroad. During the years of its existence, it has become a fully-fledged member of the Erasmus Student Network. Currently, ESN VSTE Budweis works independently and each semester helps more than 35 foreign students with their study problems and everyday life in České Budějovice. It also closely cooperates with the VSTE Department for Foreign Relations, organises cultural and other events, including education projects, and takes part in international projects as a member of the European Union Erasmus Student Network and under the Erasmus+ programme. ESN VSTE Budweis was awarded as the third best starting section in ESN International for the academic year 2013/14.
